Instagram account is not linked to a Facebook page properly

Sometimes, an Instagram user is not connected properly to it's Facebook page.

It seems to be related to the way the Instagram business account was created: it happens often for profiles that have been converted to businesses through the Instagram app. As a workaround for this - if you can:

Note: Each time you switch back to a personal account, your insights data on Instagram will be erased.

You need to switch your account back to a personal one on both the Instagram app and on the Facebook page.

  1. On the Instagram app: Switch Back to a Personal Account From a Business Account
  2. On your Facebook page:
    1. Settings --> Instagram
    2. At the bottom, Disconnect Instagram Account, click on the "Disconnect" bottom
  3. On your Facebook page:
    1. Settings --> Instagram
    2. Connect an Instagram account
    3. Fill in your details

That's it! You should now be able to link your Instagram user to our platform.
